In the Kotakylä you live with the surrounding nature. You can paddle a canoe or row a boat on Lake Vaikko, walk in the nature of Eastern Finland and enjoy the soothing calmness. In the evening, you can enjoy our unique saunas of the sauna land, prepare food in the hob and spend unforgettable nights in a traditional Lapland Teepee. 

Kotakylä is a place for well-being and presence. Hide your phone and computer and let the forest do its magic! When you leave, your mind is more refreshed and the step is lighter.

Five unique saunas in Kotakylä

In a secluded hideaway deep in the forests of North Karelia, you'll experience the warmth of five different wood-heated saunas and the very essence of authentic Finnish sauna culture. Between sessions, refresh yourself with a swim in the crystal-clear, sandy-bottomed Lake Vaikko and enjoy breathtaking sunsets at an unhurried pace—whether relaxing in a cozy lakeside hut or lounging on the shore. 

Saunas are open on Saturdays from 16 to 19 p.m until august. Please reserve your seat in advance. 

The price of the sauna land is 45 € / person
