Staying in Kotakylä
Teepee rent includes:
- Lapland's teepee, where you find wooden beds with sleeping pads and, if you wish, mosquito nets. In the middle of the hut there is a campfire place where you can enjoy campfire in the evening.
- Shared use of kayaks, canoes, boats, SUP-boards, unique tent and ferry saunas, hammocks, outdoor activities and art equipment
- For cooking and preserving food, you have a shared kitchen hut with a fridge, cooking equipment and dishes.
- Fishing permits for fishing with own gear. There is shared worm fishing rods and fish traps
When staying at Kotakylä, you will need accommodation equipment, such as warm clothes, a warm sleeping bag and a pillow.
Good to know:
- Please note that in Kotakylä we live in close contact with nature. This means natural conditions, such as a shared waterless outdoor toilet, bathing in the sauna with lake water and adapting to different weather conditions. There are a few electrical outlets in the hut kitchen.
- Life in Kotakylä is communal and Kotakylä offers good opportunities to get to know other guests and do things together. However, it is also important to remember to give space and peace to those who want it.
- Visible alcohol consumption is prohibited in Kotakylä. You can still enjoy alcoholic drinks in your own peace. The huts are pretty close together so please also remember to keep the volume low in the evening.

On summer Saturdays, based on advance reservations, we heat a suitable number of saunas to be enjoyed from 4 pm to 7 pm. (Price varies depending on heated saunas)
